Can the billion dollar WTS corporations be bought or sold?

we finally see that things are not going too well for the wts these days.

they just settled sex abuse cases in their congregations,layed off members from the bethel, the awake is now monthly,and the watchtower will have 2 versions.we also see that donations are down,the selling of some new york real estate properties,and that the internet is a big thorn on their sides and not going away.. if things get worse,can the wts start selling their corporations?

if they can sell off their real estate,why couldn't they sell their book publishing divisions?

Interesting questions no doubt. You have noticed
that the Watchtower Society has not gone "public"
because they do not have shares or share holders.

Could they sell off their book publishing divisions?

Absolutely, they recently sold a major warehouse in
Brooklyn, New York that was used for proclaiming the
"good news."

Could they sell the Kingdom Halls?

I would imagine if they have the deeds to the property
and the property is free and clear of any encumbrances.

Who would benefit if there are no stock holders or real
owners?

I would bet the accountants and attorney's are creating
a "golden" parachute similar to what major corporations
do to protect their executives in a fallout situation.

Do I think the Watchtower is going to bail out soon?

No, with their income projections, securities and real
estate that they own, they could hold out for years.

I am not sure if I am either one or
the other. I am sure that I do miss
somethings about the life though.

Namely, some very good people that
I crossed paths with which I will
never be able to say hello or good
bye to ever again.

That is what probably eats at me.

Perhaps, bitter, but I have to move

example, the no blood policy can be seen as a religious belief supported by scripture.

What would be the difference say, for an individual giving up his life for his country?
Those are the beliefs of the individual, if he wants to lay down his life for what he
believes in so be it.

grades in school; we always did our best to feed, clothe and give you every-
thing that you always wanted.

Who loved you more than we did?

On the night the announcement was made that you were no longer one of
Jehovah’s Witnesses, the deepest dejection filled the air and I believe there
was not a dry eye in the Kingdom Hall that night.

Your mother, howled in a writhen pain felt across the entire hall that night and
no amount of comfort could sustain her.

You have thrown in your lot with Satan and his world and you give ear to
the teachings of apostates.

"What will these apostates do for you?"

"Do you think that they love you as we do?"

Apostates are individuals who live debauched lives, given into drunkenness,
sexual immorality and are headed for destruction.

Now, we have no choice but to turn our backs on you as if you were dead.

We beg that you rethink what you are doing and turn back to Jehovah
and his organization. In our hearts, we still deeply love you, but we cannot
be disloyal.

Though you cross reference our questions as
being similar our styles are altogether
different.

For example, I will notice that you will
present a question that all ready has a
forgone conclusion and is slanted toward
negativity.

"Were you Surprised that your JW 'friends'
dumped you after all these years."

The questions presented in the writings
focus on the emotional responses and
reactions of the audience.

I know there is a need for that type of
writer here because the "flames" prove it,
but I see a danger in it because it feeds
itself on negativity and not considered
thought.

The audience is presented with a problem to solve
because the Watchtower and Awake led you to their
conclusion regarding a matter.

In other words, the audience is in full control of
the thread where they are allowed to present their
perspectives, viewpoints and opinions about matters.

Psychologically, the question "forces" the individual
to think about other alternatives, options and other
viewpoints.

This is where an environment of learning can take
place. This is where the good motivation comes
from.

No, I am not an entertainer.
